Trade Deadline Talks

It's quiet, it's the offseason, so here are some rankings of what I considered to be the best and worst of the QB contracts in the league. Love and Stroud at the top for their dominant performances in their "rookie" seasons but Love gets the top spot for the shorter contract and cost. Goff comes in since he is incredibly cheap and on a high powered offense. Lamar follows since he is coming off a MVP season. Even though he's expensive, it's worth it for a top 3 option at that cost, and the expiring contract is flexible. Purdy sneaks in at 5 with a cheaper front loaded deal due to the cost efficiency and the targets.

Spending $32 on Darnold is a risk to have him lead off the bad side of this list. Rodgers coming in behind him at $120 a year for two years is another risk to say the least. While Herbert can still be great, $200+ a year in that offense is concerning. Watson is a bottom 10 QB in the league (if he even plays) and has 3 years left on his deal here. Then Allen rounds us out. Even though the numbers don't look terrible on a yearly basis, the $500+ dead cap across two years is murderous, but a problem for another day.
